Conrad A. Falvello, Esquire
Personal Injury Lawyer Conrad A. Falvello, a member of Dickinson’s Class of 1974, is the former principal of Falvello Law and currently serves as District Director for the four offices of the 11th Congressional District under U.S. Congressman Lou Barletta.
He was recruited out of high school to play football by more than a dozen Division I colleges, including Wake Forest University, U.S. Naval Academy, University of Maryland, Temple University and four of the eight Ivy League schools. He was accepted to Cornell, Brown, Dartmouth and the University of Pennsylvania, graduating from Penn in 1971. Falvello joined the firm of Falvello, Ustynoski, Giuliani and Bernstein from 1974 to 1977. In 1977, he and his father, Anthony, formed the Falvello Law Firm until 1982 when they merged as partners with Hourigan, Kluger, and Quinn, where they stayed until 1991. Since 1991, he has practiced with his father, Anthony, who retired in 1995. In 2014, his daughter, Alexis Falvello, joined the Falvello Law Firm.
During his career, Falvello has served as solicitor for Black Creek Township for 15 years, Butler Township Zoning Board solicitor for four years, assistant solicitor to the Hazleton Area School District for three years, Hazleton City Council solicitor for two years and Hazleton city solicitor for seven years.
He also served on the Luzerne County Bar Federal and Local Rules Committees, was a member of the Luzerne County Bar Executive Committee from 2013 to 2015, and is currently president of the Southern Luzerne County Bar Association.
He has been appointed special litigation counsel to the Conyngham Borough Authority, North Pocono School District and Hazleton Area School District and is a member of the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
He was a board member and executive committee member of CAN DO Inc. for two years and currently serves on the Dickinson School of Law/Penn State University board of counselors since 2005 and Clear Brook Inc. board of directors since 2012.
He has been a member of the Hazleton Area Sports Hall of Fame Committee since 2006 and has been the master of ceremonies of its induction banquet for the past nine years.
He served on the board of United Charities Children’s Home for seven years and board president for one year, spearheading the board’s $400,000 renovation fundraiser.
He is also a founding member and board member of the Committee for Justice for All, an association of regional attorneys who advocate for the system of civil justice.
For the past six years, he has served as attorney adviser to the Hazleton Area High School mock trial team, which for the past four years has been one of two undefeated teams entering into district final competition. In 2014, the team won the district and regional championships on their way to the state tournament.
Falvello was a major contributor to the renovations at the law school’s Carlisle campus and he has endowed two scholarships at the law school which provide cash assistance to students at the law school.
He has been married to the former Christine Gehrett, a financial planner, since 1974. They have three children and four grandchildren.
